After months of building and more late nights than any of us planned for, Northfive is open for business.
We're four partners — Ronnie Bachmann, Lars Møberg, Edgaras Rakuckis and Christian Bech Nørhave. We've each spent years inside large organisations watching the same thing happen over and over: ambitious tech strategy, smart people, real budget, and then a gap between what was planned and what got shipped.
N5 exists to close that gap.

Why now
Agentic AI moved from research to production much faster than most expected. Organisations that figure out how to run these systems in the next year or two will pull ahead, and that lead will compound. The rest will spend years trying to catch up.
Digital sovereignty stopped being a compliance checkbox. Where your data lives, who controls your infra, whether you can actually leave a vendor when you need to - European organisations care about this now, not just at renewal time.
Engineering, platform and operational teams are being asked to ship and operate more without hiring more. The tools exist. How to make them work at scale is still an open question for most organisations.
What we do
N5 works across three connected areas:
Agentic engineering - we design and build systems where AI agents do real work in production. The boring parts too: observability, security, ops models that hold up when you're not watching.
Modern sovereignty - honest assessments of where you actually stand on data residency, vendor independence and European software usage, followed by the migration work to fix what needs fixing.
Accelerated engineering - we sit inside your teams and bring the practices and tooling that let engineering and operations move faster. Not a report. Not a workshop. We're in the codebase, incident queue and everything else with you.
How we work
Every engagement is led by people who've built and operated these systems themselves. We don't hand off a deck and disappear - we stay until it works and the team can run it without us.
And we'll tell you when something isn't ready, or when a different approach would serve you better, even if that means a smaller engagement for us.
We also run managed services - hosted, maintained and opereated by us - so your team doesn't have to staff for it.
